BREAKING TTHE BACKBONE OF SALAFIYYAH

Of recent, I’ve tried as much as possible to distance myself from all these Salafiyyah noise going around social media, just because they don’t surprise me anymore and I don’t really see any fact coming from them that needs to be addressed.

This isn’t the first time any typical Salafiyyah caller will clampdown on the Teblighis or Ikhwanis with lies. The Saudi government also released a paper on them telling lies about the movement – the political aims and their vision 2030 is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.

Our Salafi brothers do not read their history to understand. They lack the knowledge that this “Salafiyyah” profited mostly from Tebligh’s effort, also as majority of their Salafi recruits were former Tebligh members.

They will tell you their leaders later realized the evils of Tableegh and then they left it. But the truth of the matter is that the supposed “evils of Tebligh” is the gimmick used to recruit Teblighis into Salafiyyah.

Tabligh had always been the fertile ground for recruitment into other ideological Islamic tendencies due to limited intellectual defence of their terriotory. Even the earliest recruit of the pioneer Salafiyah organisation in Saudi were former Tablig. Go and verify!

The vituporous attack of the Salafi against Tebligh is purposely to poach members from Tebligh.

One of the Salafi teachers recently posted a page in the book of Ali Ashmawi claiming the Tebligh might be militant through the Ikhwan Muslimoon. I shook my head seeing him dabbling into what he does not comprehend. What he has posted is not indicting to either Tebligh or Ikhwan except he fails to understand the socio- political context of that era. The book of Ashmawi they always rush to quote from is too complex for them to understand.

The reference to the book (at-Tarikh as-Sirriy by Ali Ashmawi) by the Salafi teachers is usually borne out of mischief. The book referenced is best understood within socio – political reality of that era. Ikhwan Muslimoon is a civil organsition which believes in political engagement as against militancy.

The present Saudi state came into reality through militancy and that was the same era as that of the events in Ali Ashmawi’s book. Millitancy was the norm in those era of colonisation and western usurption of Muslim land.

These our Salafi brothers do not have perception of the ongoing of that period in history. So referring to Ali Ashmawi’s book to make a false claim about the present is highly mischievous and sinister. Ikhwan Muslimoon was the only hope of the Ummah against the colonial and zionist onslaught of yesteryears.

Setting The History Straight

Certainly, Ikhwan Muslimoon at the earliest stage during the time of Hassan Albana had a special intelligence wing trained in military combat to checkmate the colonial and the zionist scheme, most especially it was a period the Zionist wanted to usurp the entire Palestinian homeland. You could still remember the article I wrote titled “PALESTINIANS STRUGGLE: HOW SAUDI BETRAYED THE UMMAH”.

There are instances were the special intelligence of the Ikhwan Muslimoon intercepted shipload of ammunitions heading meant for the Zionists of which the Egyptian government was not even aware. Nevertheless there were some excesses of their part done without the approval of the Murshid- Hassan Albana and then Hudaibi until it was disbanded having served the genuine purpose of that time. Although during the period of its existence, there were some infiltration by Jamal Abdul Nasir and other vested interest.

However, Ali Ashmawi who probably joined Ikhwan Muslimoon at a very young age and was subsequently part of the special unit and committed to fabricating stories to free himself from Jamal Abdul Naasir dugeon.

A Salafi teacher once claimed Ali Ashmawi was a secretary to Hasan AlBanaa and that Hasan AlBanaa corrupted Ashmawi (trying to prove the authenticity of the claims in the book). In which I corrected him on that immediately. Ali Ashmawi is not known to Hassan Albana and they weren’t part of Hudaibi’s action plan but Ashmawi was closer to Sayid Qutb who himself joined Ikhwan after the demise of Hassan Albana. Sayid Qutb was more influence by Mawdudi’s book and some spectre of Muhammad Abdul Wahab’s method of change.

You don’t just read history; you have to fathom and understand it. You have to understand it within its socio – political reality of that era.

This attached book (التاريخ السري…) by Ali Ashmawi is the reference book of the secularist of Egypt to dissuade from Islamism. The book was quickly republished in 2005 after over 35 years when the Muslim brotherhood was recording a successful feat in Egyptian politics.

So since the Salafis and secularists are partners, then the book serve as their reference also.

They can continue to insult and abuse which is a manifestation of intellectual intolerance.

The backbone used to lure people into Salafiyyah today is the falsified history they tell. Just break it and see Salafiyyah crumble!!!
