I was marveled days ago when 15 (or more) of our brothers sent me different posts and screenshots by the acclaimed Salafees warning about the unpublished book of Ibn Taofeeq. Anyway, I thank them for their free advertisement.
Today as well, I read some comments on Facebook which some acclaimed Salafees were boasting that the book “Salafiyyah On A Grand Scale” will receive a large scale of refutations. Then I began to wonder if they have purchased the book? If they have read all the 15 chapters? I was trying to find excuses for them but I couldn’t find one. I sighed and nodded my head to their ignorance and arrogance behavior.
The arrogant person never gives credit to anybody or mentions good about someone. But if he hears somebody reminding him about his own defects, he will not be flexible nor comply due to his inferiority complex. This is why it is among man’s moral integrity to accept criticism or comment without any sensitivity or discomfort or feelings of shame and weakness.
The Ameer of the Believers Umar bn Khattab raised the flag and lifted the motto, “May Allah have mercy on a person who informed us of our defects.” please who are the salaf of these so called Salafees? Because their level of youthful exuberance (even among their teachers) and intellectual intolerance do marvel me alot.
Isn’t it amazing that an ignorant person is usually arrogant, or how could someone be ignorant and at the same time be arrogant? Perhaps the simulation between the two words in English “Ignorance” and “Arrogance” showed the connection between the two traits. Real scholars are humble.
Whatever backlash about the book is expected and we are not to be moved by that. That is a manifestation telling what has been discussed in the book is the truth.
The Salafees whose da’wah are based on Refutation should remember to read all the 15 chapters with open minds (my sincere advise), they should also refute the book without mentioning any Saudi scholar or students taught by Saudi scholars. Afterall, knowledge is not only limited to Saudi. They should return us to the real salaf of the 3 generations without bias.
Also, help us to remind our salafees friends preparing refutations that they should avoid plagiarism and present their scholastic efforts because many of those they hero-worship are guilty of plagiarism.
For example, Sheikh Halabi of Jordan is not a real scholar of hadith, he mostly plagiarise works of scholars of hadith and there are several accusations against him. But the easiest way now to enslave the Islamic resurgence to one’s advantage is to claim to be Muadith. The Duats (callers) strove for the resurgence, but the so-called Muadith are capitalizing on their efforts to stardom using hadith mastership.
Halabi had once worked with Sheikh Shuaib Arnaut, so he will steal Arnaut efforts and present it to Sheikh Albani, Albani was fascinated about Halabi’s deep knowledge in hadith tracking, until the bubble burst and Albani knew he was stealing from Arnaut. Albani was not happy with him for some time due to the act, until they reconciled late.
Read the book
“النَّجْمُ الطارق في كشفِ سَرقة عليّ حلبيّ لكتاب الشيخ طارق”.
In which was written to expose the plagiarism committed by Halabi. He wrote a book titled
“دراسات علمية في صحيح مسلم”
in which was full of plagiarism. Efforts of Sheikh Taariq was claimed by him. Many accusations against him and his likes. Just go to YouTube and you will watch more than enough with evidences. That is Salafiyyah for you.
They have been using scholarship of hadith to deceive and hoodwink the novice who sincerely love the prophet. That is why they are all claiming to be Muadith. When Jabata came to Nigeria, he deceived his followers that he has Ijazah (certification) of hadith from Sheikh Amru Abdul Lateef from Egypt, awhich obviously is a lie. When the lie was busted, he became evasive.
And it is because the ordinary Muslim becomes a slave to someone who claims hadith scholarship due to our love for the Prophet. They play on the emotional attachment of the youth to the Prophet to enslave their thinking. It is a mind control strategy of the Salafees.
Majority of them got indoctrinated through the emergence of Internet in Nigeria. Since then, Salafism began to flourish in Nigeria with the emergence of Sh. Najimu and Jabata. We never prepared for it, we were confined to the elite circle until Salafiyyah penetrated the local Madrasas through Jabata’s effort and others. It was too late as most brothers have become too elitist in their Dawah. And today, the Salafi dogmatism and foolishness become overwhelming.
Then some Saudi graduates and PhD returned to Nigeria with the Madkhali tendency to aggravate the situation.
Infact, this Abdul ganiy jumat you see knows little about the intellectual conflicts of the Arab world; he is also a product of internet indoctrination. His friend Oganija accused him of that and he couldn’t dispute.
Abdul Ganiyy crave popularity from the ignorance of his audience. He sows seed of disunity so as to remain relevant.
Listen to Sheikh Muqbil and Madkhali lectures, their lectures are laced with insults, and it was the lecture that was transcribed into books for the salafi students, thus imbibing their uncouth manner. Most of their students lack manners and ethics. They were too busy nurturing their brain with an acclaimed hadith science thus neglecting other fundamentals.
Yahya Hajuri inherited the bad temperament from his teacher Muqbil, he is also acidic. He also said same thing Sh. Madkhali said when delivering lecture at a summer camp lecture. He said Ikhwan Muslimoon is among the 72 sects destined for hell and that Jews and Christians are better than them. Look at the manners and dogmatism they preach!
It is from their curriculum to see copying from books as scholarship, no disciple has been exposed to manipulation of the ruler and vested political interest like the curriculum of most Islamic knowledge.
That is why Islamic resurgence has not been from them but taken to them; but they will later corrupt it due to their naive upbringing.
Look at southwest for instance, the clamour for sunnah and pristine Islam did not start from ile kewu madrasah, but from conventional schools and higher institutions of learning, and when ile kewu, Markaz, madrasah, began to embrace it in the 2000’s, they corrupted the resurgence with unquestioned loyalty to Riyadh and began to ridicule the vanguards of the resurgence.
The unfortunate thing is that many of our graduates of Islamic knowledge lack this basic knowledge, and it is causing ideological crises, they felt that being a graduate of Shariah gives one the locus standi to grasp and give fatwa on every issue while they are just being taught the normal Fiqh from Taharah to Hudud/Jihad/Qadau. The usual curriculum of over 1000 years ago without considering changes in sociological context.
Months ago, I was in Haram Makkah library, I read a fiqh book of the Hanabillah there, after few minutes, I took another fiqh book written by a contemporary Saudi scholar, it was like the book was the same written by a same person. Glaring plagiarism of the efforts of the early hanbali scholar. What kind of scholarship is that?
If afterwards they failed to intellectually prove the wordings and facts in the new book wrong, then it could be concluded that their motives is to divert attention from the facts in the book. At least they should be patient to read the book with an open mind.
The righteous salaf never attacked personalities, they discussed issues and differed widely among themselves.
They should be bold enough to discuss issues intellectually with evidences rather than wasting their time to attack personality and defame characters. Remove refutation from the da’wah of these acclaimed Salafees and there will be nothing more. This is a global disease.
They may never appreciate diversity of knowledge because the environment in which they were nurtured is a doctored one geared towards a particular way of thinking. The graduates are a product of stereotype Fiqh.
Why focusing on Ibn Taofeeq when they are yet to resolve their own internal squabble. They will be choked until they begin to appreciate diversity of knowledge.
And help us remind the Salafees that before they are done with their said refutation of the book “Salafiyyah On A Grand Scale”, we will be launching another book on Protest, knowledge of hadeeth, Ikhtilaaf and Civilization, Ikhwanophobia and Ikhwanophobes et al, since we determine their pens and their da’wah is only geared towards refutations only, they should be prepared.
Do they think we are joking? This is not a worldly sacrifice. This is not the time to showcase the level of Nahwu and Sarf. Whenever they seek to brainwash the gullible youth of their locality they never spoke their assumed language of Knowledge(Arabic).
We want to liberate the youth you are nurturing on the path of bokoharamism. They may in the future become a time bomb in the south western Nigeria. So this is not a time for intellectual arrogance but a genuine and sincere effort to disseminate the moderate Aqeedah and Methodology of our pious predecessors and not those false Aqeedah and Manhaj of ostracizing Muslims.
The consequence of their dangerous Aqeedah and Manhaj is evident at Sambisa.
All the scholars are beginning to have a level paying platform where the beauty and diversity of real Islamic scholarship is being showcased. Unlike some countries/these people who sought to strangulate scholarship and only giving platform for their own stereotype ideas. This is Nigeria; it is now beyond personalities, it is the presentation of facts. They can continue to insult and abuse which is a manifestation of intellectual intolerance.
The Islam brought by Prophet Muhammad is that of tolerance and appreciation of genuine intellectual diversity.
