The face/reality of Da’wah….

Unity and reconciliation with any group of Muslims on social, economic and political spheres is more beneficial than fighting within the ranks of Muslims or leading the Ummah to irreconcilable differences; thereby causing crisis or a war. If we have learnt from our (islamic) history, we would have solved 90% of our today’s problem. Unfortunately, some people stood and distort our history for their own sakes – thus, leaving us in darkness and confusion.

Anyone who is very much aware of the consequences of the invasion of the Islamic Spain, the crucibles of the Crusaders, the fitnah of the rampaging Portuguese and other colonial agents, the tragedy occasioned by the invasion of Iraq by the Tatars and how Islam lost its centuries’ grip of the entire Europe, including its intellectual centers of Andalusia, Cordoba etc will never joke with the unity of the Ummah. But do we actually learn History to learn from it?!

The slaughter of the Muslims in Spain and the entire Europe after holding sway for centuries, the onslaught of the animist Tatars, the invasion by Crusaders, the Portuguese murderous campaign and gruesome massacres of the Muslims across the world were among the worst calamities that ever befell the Ummah out of negligence and bickering (arguing about petty and trivial matters).

On most occasions, Muslims were engrossed in avoidable internal wrangling, destructive internecine wars and needless arguments on trivialities and frivolities. This was particularly the case when the Crusaders and the Tatars respectively struck in Spain and Iraq. They spared no one in the cities – including women, children, the aged and the pregnancies. Even the non-living objects – the intellectual legacies of Islam did not escape the enemies onslaught.

Are these vilication, name-calling, insults, (in all its form) flying around really the face of da’wah?!
